This is my 1969 Dodge 340 GTS. 1 of 2623 made. 340 with a 727 Torqueflite and 3.91 Sure Grip gears. B5 Bright Blue Metallic with a B3 Light BLue bucket seat/console interior. I race the GTS in the Pure Stock Muscle Car Drag Races and the F.A.S.T. Shoot-Out series. The best time for the old Dodge is 13.26 @ 103.4 mph. And that is Pure Stock on skinny tires just the way it left the Dodge Hamtramck, MI plant on August 23, 1968.
I maintain the GTS Registry website. To learn more about the Dodge Dart GTS visit here:
Here is a "still" shot of the left front quarter taken in 2003 with the GTS wearing the optional full "mag style" wheelcovers. Mopar did not have a factory "performance rim" for the A-bodies until the introduction of the "Rallye" rim for the 1970 model year. My GTS came from the factory with the "mag style" covers, however, I race with the base "dog dish" caps for weight savings and for race track safety reasons.

13.26 sec @ 103.4 MPH? That is fast! While running a stock 340, cast iron exhaust manifolds, and skinny street tires? AMAZING! Was that at the 2008 Pure Stock Muscle Car Drag Races?

Frank, Great looking Dart GT !! Back in '71 a friend of mine had one almost just like yours, blue with white stripe except his was 4spd with rally wheels, you've heard the saying before ..." it these wheels could talk what a story they could tell " well in the case of his car, all I'd have to say is, that damn cars a liar, I'm totally innocent !! LOL Thanks for the compliment on my car, I sure enjoy it as I'm sure you do yours.
Take care, Richard
