It's a colour original to the year – Highland Green. It was not very popular back in the day, and when ordered usually was in the two-tone combination with the lighter coloured Surf Green roof.

I just stumbled upon this beautiful RHD 57 now. Interesting with that 56 Chev dash because i have had both 56 and 57 Chev's. It seems most RHD drive cars that are vintage were and are four door sedans. Nice to see a two door hardtop for a change, not that i have anything against four doors because i have had many vintage four doors. Love your 57 mate and cheers.

Thanks for the comments! Yes, all RHD '57 Chevs were given the RHD dash from '56 – rather than GM doing a complicated re-tool (which never would have been right!) This is a US body on a US classes with steering conversion done with RHD dash, firewall and chassis. (There were no RHD Sport Coupes assembled in the day.) And ... this one has Powerglide using factory linkages that GM had tooled up in advance of later years.)
