460 ford 2 600 cfm edelebrock carbs. blue thunder intake manifold. brandt mustang valve covers. 14 year project, built by myself. Has kaufmann eng. headers ford f350 rear sump pan. c6 trans tci stall converter. Currie built ford nine inch 370 posi unit with rear disc brake kit. It is a modern tribute to the 64 ford thunderbolt.

the project begins. the 460 comes from a 1973 lincoln town car. here is what the engine looked like before removal. the cougar is prepared to accept the big block

the 460 is complete. short block done by custom crank. 10.1 compression 460. the engine is now being installed. reicherts auto june 1997

installing the floor shifter, getting the car buttoned up. complete assembly took 1 week

vinyl roof being removed. next replaced panel behind passenger door. car has 1 carb, but not for long

the car is now painted. painted it the garage. won't do that again lol. whole garage is white but the floor is now sealed.

car now has dual carbs. i am experimenting with different colors. car now in primer at least it all one color.

yes it does pass everything but the gas station. gas in canada here right now is 1.40 per liter premium, nearly 7.00 per gallon
