Mike's 2007 TrailBlazer SS. Chevy's modern-era Muscle Truck! Some call it a "4-Door Corvette", and it goes like STINK!
400 Horsepower Corvette LS2, Heavy-Duty 4L80 4-Speed Auto Trans, Heavy Duty Lowered Suspension (Developed at Nürbergring Race Track in Germany), Traction Control and Stability Control STANDARD. 0-60 in 5.5 Seconds. Top speed (electronically limited): 155 MPH.
My truck came equipped with the 3SS option package, which means it has every option available in '07 except all-wheel-drive. Factory 20's with Goodyear Eagle RS/A tires, Quick-Ratio Rack & Pinion Steering, Auto Load- Leveling (Air-Ride) Suspension, Power Aux Air Compressor/Inflation System, Tire Pressure Monitoring, and 4-Wheel ABS Disc Brakes. Bose AM/FM/CD & XM Sat Radio, Stereo w/Autonomous Touch-Screen DVD Nav w/Voice Guidance, On-Star with integrated hands-free, Voice-Actuated Cell Phone, Heated Leather "Memory" Seats/Mirrors, "Curb-View" Right Power Tilt Mirror, Rear-Seat Roof-Mounted DVD System w/Wireless Headphones, Cruise, Power Adjustable Pedals w/Memory Feature, Tilt Wheel w/full Steering Wheel Audio/On-Star Controls, Auto Dual-Zone Climate Control with rear seat outlets and controls, and a Power Glass Sunroof.
MODS- I added an IEATSRT8 Cold Air Intake, Trans Cooler, Hood Strut Kit, and replaced the HUGE factory muffler with a straight section of 3 1/2" pipe. It now SOUNDS as it should, throaty but not too loud. (Well, until you hit the GO pedal, that is!) I also added a Remote Start/Alarm, an iPod interface, Pro- Fit Mount/Cradle, and a JL Audio 10" Sub/Box powered by an Alpine 400W Amp.
Finally, I added a couple of extra emblems - Front Grille "SS" and a Corvette- Style Crossed Flags emblem on the gas filler door - an "homage" to my first car - a '70 SS396 Chevelle.
It handles and drives like a sport coupe, not a 2-ton plus SUV!

I never tested it (GRIN) - I'm quoting specs from someone who has. I think the "factory limiter" is set to 130 MPH. Easily defeated with a "Performance Tune".

It only goes 130...trust me, I've tried it on my own!

I just bought a white SS with the same 3SS package and can't wait to twist it up every which way imaginable so if tech talk is an option let the good times roll williamcfulcher@yahoo.com

Our 2006 AWD SS has a little tune and runs a 0-60 in 5.1 sec., and 1/4 mile at 13.7.....too cool for a SUV, one of the quickest production SUVs ever manufactured from GM.

I have tuned my TBSS today by increasing 50hp additional via software, regarding speed it's locked up to 193km but you can unlocked up to 3000km if you wish, you have to find good dyno & performance center then enjoy the power, I love my truck and mustang Shelby couldn't defeat me after the tune :-)
