This mono chromatic rendering of the Doba was created by a dear friend and neighbor of mine Barry Hochstrasser Barry the Graphics Guy using a photo I took of my car(I added in the Mopar logos). Barry passed away in the summer of 2012. He was a very talented graphic artist. He is, and will be greatly missed. R.I.P. Barry My Dear Friend. "God Be With You, Till We Meet Again."

The Doba is now at it's new home in Utah.

Sporting her new Utah arches plates, she looks "jacked up" in the rear. Kinda like she's got old school "Hi Jacker "air shocks.

The rear springs were re-arced, and a glass pack muffler installed. Now she has a mean stance(sounds a lot better too).

This is my first look at the Doba on the afternoon Susan brought her home from being buffed out, fully detailed and freshly under coated.

My scooter lift has been installed.

My wife Susan & our Doba at one of our first cruise nites that we attended with the car. It was held at an Arctic circle Drive in restaurant located in Magna, Utah. Unfortunately cruise nites have been discontinued at the A.C. as of July 2013 due to the restaurant's move in 2014.

This is way she looks today. I got rid of the cheesy looking rubber finned poly-cast wheels, and installed stock steel wheels with year correct Chrysler wire wheel covers(a $40 option back then)we topped everything off with a set of new tires. A good friend of mine even gave me a pristine pair of black & white year correct Utah "77 license plates, that are legal to register here in Utah.

Check out the "75 Dodge Charger SE opera window louvers I added a few years back(cost me $100 on Ebay). I got lucky, they just happened to be a perfect match. I think the louvers make her look classier. My mother owned a "75 Charger when I was a kid.The Dodge Charger SE was basically a Chrysler Cordoba that was re-badged, given a different grille & grille surround, and different tail lights. The front grille & tail lights featured a horizontal bar pattern. The grille bars were body colored. The Charger also had a color keyed vinyl body side trim accent molding that matched the cars Halo or full vinyl top. From 1975-"77 Cordoba & Charger SE were basically exact twins. I believe that, is where my affinity for that particular body style began?

Back in June 2011 I got to meet NHRA Pro stock champion Butch Leal "The California Flash" at the annual Larry Miller Mopar Show.

I took this photo of "Our baby" at the Arctic Circle cruise nite, just after the car was detailed for the first time, and the peeling pin stripes were removed.That seems like long ago. Notice that she had no opera window louvers and still had the poly-cast wheels back then.

This picture must have been taken back in 2005(before I had my lift).I'm gonna miss the old Arctic Circle.

I lost my head this last summer, and tried to sell the Doba. I'm glad I didn't get any bites that day.

This baby even has an alarm system(with remote locks & trunk release).

She got a new set of tires(less than 1000 miles on them).The wire wheel covers were about a $50 option back in 1977.That would be about $450 in todays dollars.

My dad had a "73 Dodge Coronet Crestwood 9 passenger wagon(just like the car pictured on the brochure)it was identical. It had the optional 400 C.I.D V8 2 barrel carburetor. That was the first car I ever saw that had a 150 mph speedometer(a wagon no less). It would probably do it too! My dad got it up to 136 on I-40 between Flag staff AZ & Albuquerque NM I was there and saw the speedo. He could have gone all the way, as he still had pedal left but he got scared and backed off. I added this because I loved that wagon. That wagon is how my love of Mopars came about. Then again, mom did have a two tone red and cream colored "57 Plymouth Savoy four door hardtop back when I was six years old. I really liked that car too.

My family had a "73 Dodge Charger SE Brougham this same color (not this one), but this car reminded me so much of ours that I had to post it. This is actually a Charger that was for sale on Ebay last year. I had a childhood flashback when I saw this car.
