Mario's Oyster Bay Car Show Aug 6, 2024

1978 Corvette 25th Anniversary Pace Car

The 10th weekly car show was held Tuesday Aug 6, 2024 on Main Street in our seaside town of Oyster Bay, NY.

A fun-filled day with Hot Rods and Classic Cars strolling down Main Street, which was closed to traffic for the car show. Lots of Muscle Cars showed up including a 25th Anniversary Corvette.

The local shops and restaurants were all open and another great Rock Band was playing Oldies into the evening. Enjoy the show, Mario

Another great Oyster Bay Cruise Night car show with lots of first class cars showing up.

The 78 Corvette 25th Anniversary was a real beauty as well as the 59 Pontiac like my first car as a convertible. Enjoy the show! Mario

Hey Mario, I see you've been at work again, if you can call this "work"!!

Thanks for the Nova pics. I pretended NOT to see the Elon Pickup. Too bad the Porsche couldn't hide that ugly beast.

Well my choice is the 1969 Z/28 since it has the RS package with those hidden headlights.

Your choice of the 78 Corvette, I can see why. That looks like showroom condition and it's for sale?

I liked the 1970 Olds 442. I took a 70 442 W-30 in the same color comob out for a test drive. The saleman told me I was not allowed to test the performance. What a killjoy. Now this was when I was in my late 40's, not in my 20's.

Glad you had good enough weather to take in another show. Only thing going on here in the desert is the heat and the rent.

MY Nova is back so I'm busy fixing something my friend found and told me needs fixed but thought I'd enjoy fixing better than paying him to do it.

He was right. But my under hood wiring is fixed.

Okay let's keep our old iron rolling, and enjoy our time with them and the ones who enjoy our hobby like we do.

Hi Rob, the 69 Camaro Z28 with the RS package is a real beauty. Well taken care of and a good choice.

The 78 Corvette is indeed in showroom condition and it's for sale. I don't know how much he's asking for it but I'm sure it's up there. It's the Silver Limited Edition Pace Car version.

The 70 Olds 442 blue with new white top was also in showroom condition and was a big attraction.

Glad to hear your under-hood wiring is fixed so you can go on with your restoration plan. The weather was hot and humid this week but looks like we're getting a reprieve soon. Well back to scouting some car shows. Check in soon. Mario

Ok Mario, here you going again making me choose. It would have to be the 55 Chev Bel Air, 56 Chev Bel Air, 59 Pontiac Star Chief, 62 Chevy II, 67 Chevelle Malibu and 69 Camaro Z/28. I left more than enough cars for the rest of you guys. Thanks for sharing and cheers my American vintage tin buddy.
