Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Automotive Swap Meet.

Sunday December 1, 2024.

I took in the 57th annual Motor City Cars and Parts flea market that has been held by Oshawa, Ontario's Motor City Car Club, that have been a car club since 1959. Oshawa is our Detroit for GM car production. This is the very last event of the year. There were few cars for sale but lots of goodies to be had. I ran into my old car buddy Bill T. that I have know since 1981. Now it is officially time for winter hibernation. Too depressing to think about. Check out the goods and cheers.

1967 Chev Impala SS. For sale for $38,000.

1967 Fire Chicken give away to the lucky winner.

Plastic Cobra.

Chev Tri power (1958-1961) AC missing top half.

A special Chev Muncie tranny and a very special Chev posi diff.

Excellent price for this low profile Chev B B oil pan.

1967 Chev Impala SS.

Chev small block motivation.

Ford FE series.

Chev four barrel AC. (50'S).

What a major barn find this 57 Chev Nomad would be.

Well, if you are bored at that show, you really need to see a doctor. That is awesome. The pedal cars always make me smile. Of course, I had a tractor.

Oh, to have the deep pockets to buy all that tin signage and display it in my garage.

That takes a lot of work to set up all that stuff, and hopefully you go home with a heavier wallet and lighter load.

I always enjoyed the Carlisle Car Shows and Swap Meets when I lived there.

Nice thread Geo, now keep warm. My pickup is back in the shop trying to figure out an electrical issue that's affecting the fuel gauge. I added fuel and the gauge went to empty.

Stay well and stay blessed, Geo. Rob

Rob, are you sure the issue is electrical. Todays ethanol attacks the solder on the gas sending unit float, ask me how I know. Rob, speaking of that great meet in Carlisle Penn. My long time good buddy Pete V. and I went every year in April for many many years. I loved going to that meet and for me it was a long haul of about nine hours one way. Brings back countless memories. For many years in the 1980's and into the 1990's I vended 55 56 57 Chev parts and I did very well but I finally had enough of having to deal with yahoos and did all my selling on line and just shipped stuff out. At the present age of 66, I have no more drive to sell stuff the way I did. Cheers.

I will be sure to pass that info along to the mechanic on the solder Geo. Right now, there's nothing to lose, besides enjoying being behind the wheel.

I understand your dealings with "YAHOOS". Where do you think they came up with the internet email service known by the same name?

Thanks for the possible lead on the fuel gauge issue. Cheers back at you. :-)

Actually my buddy and I went to Carlisle every October not April. I went once in April and that was enough for me. The wet mud bog of Carlisle in April is too much to take. Cheers.

Quite an assortment of Automobilia George, enough to satisfy any car enthusiast. A nice 67 Impala SS for sale in great condition, although I'm not a fan of red cars. I like all the old metal model cars having had several in my childhood. My favorite is the drag strip toy with burning rubber smoke, very unique. Well time to buckle in for the winter months with visions of future car shows in our sleep. Cheers, Nario
