Thanks! Hopefully as the winter progresses I can get new pics with the new changes, including the March Serpentine Track system for the front. Gotta have A/C in every 1100hp car dont we? :)

So where are these new pics? And I want specs! I have a mild 455 that I was planning on do very much the same. Just want to know if I'm way off on what I was thinking of doing. Name brand part's or have u had any luck with the cheaper turbos, valves etc... Ben

Ben, I have been a bit delayed on getting the tilt front end hinged. It required designing my own prototype and I have gone through 3 designs. This one looks like it will work though. It will tilt, lift, and move forward all in one movement with twin electric actuators.

The engine has been broken in on the stand and is now in the car. Fitting of various small things and the turbo still to come, but I need the front end in place first.

Minimum items you need to do a turbo 455 are forged pistons, better rods than stock and a compression ratio between 8-8.5:1 - nothing higher. From those minimum requirements there are many other things you can do. Best bet is to hop on and visit is in the boosted sections of the tech forums on performanceyears.com or pontiaczone.com

Oh, I use some ebay knockoff stuff, but the turbo is a Garrett 4788. Tubing, silicone connectors, t-bands, etc are fine to use the less expensive components. For fuel delivery, computer stuff, the turbo I like to stick to name brand. There are plenty of good and bad comments out there about off brand components that it really comes down to what YOU think.
