1947 WOODEN TEARDROP TRAILER

This Wooden Tear Drop Trailer, made of Poplar and Oak, which was cut off the builders property, was built from the plans and specifications of a 1947 Field and Stream Magazine in the year 2000. The builder added a 18" in length, and 12" in width for more space and comfort inside. And, It Works! It even has a 'Pup Loft' above your feet for our pups to sleep comfortably. It is Very comfortable, compared to my wife's Aluminum 'Original' 1947 Tear Drop trailer, which is easier to pull, looks better because it is Original, but allot more crowded sleeping quarters than this'un. It has a 'hatch' in the back to carry your fishing rods and other camping gear, plus the whole rear props open for your kitchen area. It's really nice, but an ole phart like me sure missed a restroom........ I saw this rascal on e-bay about 6 years ago, and put in a low bid but had to leave in a hurry so I didn't even have time to see where it was. Well, I Won! That's the good news. The bad news was it was in Northern freak'n Wisconsin, and that's a hellova long way from Central Texas. I told my wife that we'd go up there in a hurry and then take a week or two coming back home, staying in it. Well, even for an ole phart I still drive fast and her mouth over ran her A-- about my fast driving, so we went up there, picked it up, and was back home the third day. They have some ridiculously slow speed limits up there, so I'm sure glad they never clocked me, but that little trailer had a 'death grip' on my tow bar cause sometimes I wuz pulling it at 95 and better. We got home fine, and my wife has started talking to me again ......
