Al & MJ's Cruiser

Lot's of good miles and Big Smiles

Interior by M & K Industrial Upholstery in Vancouver ,WA. Nice people ,Nice job

Got a thousand "Thumbs Up" on that trip. She is no slouch in the power dept. And I love the 4 speed automatic w/lockup converter. Smooth shifts and when it locks up the rpm's drop by 300. Easy cruising at 70+

just finishing up this 50. Still side trim to add ,door panels and get it an alignment. Two years of nights and weekends. I went all econo as I had a low mile 305 and 4 speed automatic from a 88 Caprice security guards car that i bought at auction for 40 bucks and drove it home. I then sold some parts ,took the hulk for scrap and used the money to buy a cam and lifters, gaskets, and get the heads redone, picked up a Edelbrock performer for $20 at the portland swap meet, port matched it. She runs smooth and strong. I picked up the body from a friend that got it out of a barn next door for 300 bucks. He made some money as I paid 700 for it. It only had 80k and a tired smoking 6 banger. I towed a guy out of a creek that crashed his 80 mustang in a snow storm. As I gave him a ride home he offered me the car for $50. I jumped on that and had it home and cut up the next day. Suspension was still good and fits in the frame easily

Paint color is 2007 Chevy "LAZER BLUE" Solid Rust free Oregon car...

I wouldn't have gotten the 50 this far without good friends, lots of help and plenty of Pabst beer. Thanks

Thanks also go to RANDY"S 49-52 Chev parts of Portland Oregon

We put a lot of miles on the 50 in the last couple of years . Running good, worst thing to happen was a rear shock mount broke while going over Mt. Hood in Oregon.. All the way down Oregon coast and to the Redwoods in California and got 23 miles per gallon on regular.

Now the 50 has good company. Another "Econo Rod" 33 Dodge pu . I've had a lot of parts laying around and found a pu body to put them in .

Just hanging out at The End of the World Rod Run in Longbeach Washington. That is Big Daddy's 50 Nash behind me. He did a nice job installing Mustang two suspension and small chevy and bagged the old girl besides.

Sweet ride! I like how you did it for low dough - makes it more Old Skool! Wrenching on old iron with buddies and beer - it doesn't get any better than that.
