Rare Bird 71 340 4-speed

My first car was a 1972 satellite my father bought me for high school graduation. That's when I fell in love with this body style. Always dreamed of having a true Roadrunner 71 or 72 440 4-speed car. This car I found on CL in northern Ohio, it was there for 15yrs. It started out in North Dakota and still has what I believe to be a dealer installed block heater for toughs cold winters in the north. This car not a 440 car, but when I researched the low production numbers (1 in 438), all numbers matching and the history with the intro of 340 to the Roadrunners. I feel head over heels in love with this car and brought it back to Texas.

Never been a repaint, still in its original factory paint. It's not perfect and has 50yrs of bumps and scratches, but still shines up nice.

Interesting dent here, would like to know how it happened. If could, I would like to track down the original owner and get some history on the car.

Shorty after I got the car home, I had to replace the head gaskets. So I freshen up the engine look a little, this is before.

The little Roadrunner head on the grill is faded and weathered, but still is smiling and having fun. BEEP BEEP!!!

Some day I would love to restore this car, paint scratched, stripe is faded and decals weather cracked. But when I show this car , I get so many complements on the originality, it will stay just the way it is for awhile.

First big show with my baby, over 250 cars. The show was in Hillsboro, TX.

I made my own costume shirt for the shows.

This is a costume iron-on I had made for the back of my shirt.

All Mopar car show in Haltom City, TX. July 25, 2020 Survivor/Unrestored class, I was awarded first in class. Had a great time with my wife and daughter too.
