Mario, my 57 Chev was originally Adobe Beige and Sierra Gold. I repainted the 57 Tropical Turquoise and India Ivory when I did the body off resto. In May 1992 when I finished the car, my dad could not understand why I changed the color. I went as far as changing the factory tag to reflect the color change. I love all those factory two tone combinations and they were so Fifties. Cheers.

I've always wanted a 50s era diner setting in my home with the bar stools, and counter all the needed equipment to make it functional. With black and white checkered accents along with a nice jukebox spinning the disks and have it be functional.

These cars harken me back to the times when I was a kid sitting on one of those barstools with my grandfather feeling like I was king of the world back then. My grandfather would smile at me and tell me to order whatever I wanted. WOW...it was like being a king.

These cars fit right into that motiff. Another excellent thread....

Yes the steering wheels were huge back then before power steering. I used to sit on my Dad's lap in his new 52 Ford and I really thought I was driving with my hands on the steering wheel! Of course I was only 5 years old!
