Mario, super sweet collection there. I never collected die cast but I collected plastic models cars from the age 10 on. I still have most of my collection but what I have kept is all my Chevrolet stuff. My collection is mostly 70% 1955 1956 1957 Chevrolets but also some 1930's, 1940's, some early and late 1950's and some 1960's Chevy's. Beautiful wood cabinets and wonderful to see that they are staying in the family and not forgotten. Hopefully your son will continue the family tradition. Cheers.

That's great you have a lot of your collection George. You can see a lot of that on Ebay nowadays from collectors such as us. You would be surprised what these items are going for.
I used to build my own car models from about age 7 into early teens but unfortunately I don't have them anymore. That's why years later, marriage, and a child, I started collecting the diecast models already built.
Show us some of your collectibles someday when you can. I would love to see your collection. Maybe you can post them. The Tri Five Chevys are the best. Cheers.

The 1951 LeSabre Franklin Mint 1/24 precision scale model is one of my favorites.
As you can see I have a nice collection of limited edition cars from Franklin Mint and also from Danbury Mint.
This has been a 30 year collection on my part and thanks to my dear wife who bought me a car on birthdays and anniversaries.
My love for classic cars continues to this day since I was about 5 years old when I used to cut out car pictures from Life and Look magazines. I still have them too! Mario
