1954 Dodge Firearrow IV Concept

The 1954 Dodge Firearrow IV Concept Car is a RED Convertible 4-seater with a black and white diamond interior.

Last of the Dodge Firearrows a 1954 convertible, another practical sports car with roll-up windows, trunk, and conventional door handles.

The Dodge Firearrow IV is a one off concept dream car designed in the early 1950’s by Chrysler Corp legendary design chief Virgil Exner and hand built by Ghia Coach of Turin Italy.

It has a bold quilted black and white diamond pattern leather interior and the front seats reclined.

This car is the only fully road going convertible with folding top, windows and fully designed and engineered to be put into production.

Designed by Virgil Exner and hand built by Ghia Coach of Turin Italy. The Firearrow cars are the only survivors of the wonderful early series of Chrysler concept cars.

They were designed as serious, elegant Italian styled sports cars to compete with the Corvette, T-Bird and several European marquees.

The 1954 Dodge Firearrow IV was shown at many of the major U.S. auto shows in 1954.

This car was sold at the Barrett Jackson Auction in 2007 for $1.1 Million to a private collector.

They not only are wonderful looking cars, but are powered by the legendary Hemi engine and a pleasure to drive.

Unfortunately, Chrysler made the decision to not proceed into production and these cars are but a great moment in automotive history.

The last of the Dodge Firearrow series of Concept Cars a 4 seater convertible.

Designed by Virgil Exner and produced by Ghia of Italy, another Chrysler product that could have competed with GM and Ford.

The decision not to go into production was mostly a financial one, but we still have all 4 Dodge Firearrow cars around as part of History.

My parents always taught me that, if you can not say something good about someone or something...... well do not say anything at all. These Mopar concept cars leave a lot to be desired. Cheers.
