There's a great lyric in the song about "OLDIES".

He's become one of my favorite DOO-WOP artists. He even founded Jay Black and the Americans. You would never think to look at him, that his voice would be so melodic to the tune of our generation.

It's a circular stage that revolves and set in the middle of a small 2,000 capacity concert hall. Great for seeing the performers up close.

And yes he was an original singer for Jay and the Americans. We saw them too. The original Jay also left and hooked up with The Lion Sleeps Tonight crew The Tokens who appear there all the time. Jay Black is now with the Americans.

I'm a big Doo Wop fan and used to go to all the concerts before Covid hit us. Good Times! Cars and Rock 'n Roll, Cheers!

Those twin 4 barrel carbs are awesome on that Hemi. Those cars used to wipe up at the 1/4 mile track and no one could beat them. Their only competition was themselves! It took a while before GM and Ford could catch up.

Sadly Jay Black passed away. I always wanted to see those PBS concerts in Pittsburgh but never got the chance. I've been to a few concerts in Atlanta and on cruise ships. Slowly the groups are gathering in heaven for another tour.

You can buy the Doo Wop shows on DVD on Amazon and relive their music. I have them all and watch them every now and then.

Amazing how they have a hard time getting on the stage but when they sing it's like when they were young!

Yes, My wife, God love her, got me those PBS tapes. I hardly watch any TV anymore. I watch old Humphrey Bogart and other black and white film noir movies and my PBS tapes. I throw on a favorite western movie too. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Lonesome Dove the series. My oldest son now 51 LOOKED EXACTLY LIKE RICK(Y) Schroder in his younger days in that movie.

Same here nothing really good on TV anymore. I go to the library and take out DVD's of old movies or TV series I used to watch. They were so much better back in the day.

Sorry to say I don't know if Ford had any of those slim C pillar roof lines did they? I know they had fastbacks.

Yes Rob, check out the 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 2 dr HT very slim C. Also look at the 1960 Ford Starliner C pillar. Both were very heavy cars with large roofs not well supported in a roll over.

I checked them out, and you are as right as rain in Arizona. My Uncle had a 57 Fairlane 500, aqua and white. I should have remembered. He was a distant uncle as everytime he saw me, he told me to go away kid. But I loved him just the same.

I almost bought a 70 Hemi Cuda way back in the early 70s.

The side pipes looked like chimney stacks. You could put your leg in one of them.

I recall that car like it was yesterday. That car "THUMPED" the ground as it pounded the asphalt. Even idling you could almost feel like a concussion hitting the ground and bouncing up into you.

It was worth the drive to the dealership in Lebanon PA called High Performance Car Village.

I want to break out singing "Memories", but I never cared for Barbara Streisand. So I'll shut up for once.
