I have been an avid plastic model car builder since the age of about 8 or 9 years old. I think it was the beginning of a life long love affair with vintage cars and it taught me some skills. I think my automotive mechanical skills got the impetus from building model cars. There were some planes, boats and motor bikes but the main focus was always vintage cars. I had countless cars before these shown here but my younger siblings destroyed so many of my models growing up. I had six younger siblings and some of them destroyed my records, my car magazines and my model cars. These car models here represent some of the kits I built from 1973 to 1996. I no longer have the patience to build them and I have over a dozen unbuilt models that maybe one day I will build. Check out the kits and cheers.

George, I am more than happy to be the first to give you not only one thumbs up but two. You're a man after my own heart with that model collection. Some of my favorite childhood memories were building models. And it wasn't
just to sniff the glue. They say it caused brain damage. We'll just leave that alone. I love the customized wheel openings and all the RED DOTS on the AC Delco period correct batteries.
I wish I could build models at my age now but sadly arthritis and the loss sense of touch at the end of my fingers won't allow me to handle the parts anymore.
My last builds were of the large scale model. I did a C2 Corvette a few years back. It sits gathering dust as I watch the mirrors and chrome trip sadly fall off the model from time and age.
Sadly George we have a shared story of our trophies being destroyed by family. I had a cousin who went nuts with my baseball bat and decided to knock down every plane I had hung from the ceiling and and crush every car I had on my display stand.
I was told to forgive her as she had some sort of mental disease and didn't know what she was doing.
So my small collection of mostly Corvettes set collecting dust now.
Thanks for sharing your collection and great work on the color choices too....
I used to wish sometimes I could shrink myself and get in one and take it for a drive. Maybe there is something to that myth about sniffing Testor's Glue afterall.......
