Mario's Oyster Bay Car Show June 4, 2024

1955 Chevy Custom

Another great Cruise Night last Tuesday night June 4th in our quaint little town of Oyster Bay, Long Island, NY.

Once again Main Street was closed to traffic and the Hot Rods and Classic Cars started driving down Main Street to the enjoyment of the spectators.

The Rock Band was already playing those Classic Oldies and young and old were getting into the party like atmosphere. The local shops and eateries that give Oyster Bay its unique charm were open selling whatever they could and some pop-up vendors were in the street as well.

I was able to go with my brother John in his red 1968 Corvette Convertible. Top down again because the weather was perfect. Lots of great looking cars showed up gleaming in all their splendor. Enjoy the show, Mario

Ahhhhhhhh HAAAAAAAAAAA!! I saw that Fibby Fibe and said WHOOPS THERE IT IS!! But I must admit I was tempted by some others.

Note the pic of the BURGANDY 1969 GTO and that my friend is my favorite combination with the beige interior....makes my mouth water.

Did you kick John to the co-pilot side in his Corvette? Once stung by the STING RAY.....you're hooked!!

Your show draws a lot of variety which can usually satisfy most all car enthusiasts. It's no tonly the cars, it's the atmosphere that I love. You can stop and talk to or compliment an owner on their entry and the conversation benefits both the owner and the attendee. There's ALWAYS common ground no matter where your loyalty lies.

I as a member of AT expect this type of threads from both you and George. George handles the northern border while you can cover the east coast.

Maybe by Oct or Nov the car shows will be revived here where for now....I need to be satisfied AND VERY GRATEFUL for having these to view.

Well time to go fry my eggs on the sidewalk for breakfast. Adios mi amigos.

You're very observant Rob, the cruise show brings out all ages of people and small kids to see the show and listen to the Band.

And the owners are all willing to answer any questions about their cars. I like to see teens and small children interested in the cars and truly enjoying themselves.

Did you notice the booth "Family Time Hobbies" with the young Mom and her son looking to buy?

I started getting interested in cars by building scale model cars and learning all about them.

I hope you get to show us East Coasters and Northerners how the car shows are out West this year Rob. Make a Page on the AZ car shows so George and I can see. Cheers my friend, Mario

Cheers back to you George. The 57 Chevy is a great pick and I believe the Canadian 57 Pontiac was similar to the Chevy built on the same line.
