Georgetown, Ontario, Canada Car Show.

Sunday June 16, 2024.

I took in the annual Georgetown car show that has been raiseing money for cancer research for many years now. It is run by an amazing group of dedicated people. A well worthy cause and a well worthy car show. It was a perfect day for an amazing amount of great vintage tin. I was car number 286 when I got there and by the time I left at 1:30, there had to be about 500 cars or more. I took my 57 Pontiac and had a great day talking to old car folks. Enjoy the rides.Cheers.

That's a mighty fine looking 67 Impala convertible George, and my high school colors too, red and black!

I also like the rare 39 Lincoln Zephyr, very classy indeed. Don't see many of those. Cheers, Mario

Hey George, It looks like Brandon got things sorted out so you could add some additional photos.

Our technology just like our cars sometimes needs a tune up.

You know I looked at what all the owner of that 1969 Rambler put into that car. That is what I call dedication to the Orphan Class of car and to make it like it is, that costs some coinage.

Since Mario go to pic before me (see above) I am going to give the Rambler owner a thumbs up on his/her entry. Not my choice of a car but sometimes you just have to hand it to the owner.

I do appreciate the close up views of the Acadian Badges. I can't recall ever seeing one before at a car show.

Well send some of that fresh cool Canadian air down this way to AZ. And I'll send you some heat come winter.

Stay well..I did enjoy the Moose hood emblem. I used to see them all the times in catalogs where you could order a swan, or a bulldog, or a plane, or whatever. I should have been paying attention in school but those catalogs fit so well right inside the school book......I forget the name of those catalogs........along with other things. :-)

Cheers Geo and stay cool.

Rob, the last three days we have been having a massive heat wave in our area. It is going to be too too hot for the next few days as well. I have no cool air to send you. I agree about that AMC Rambler get up and GO car. I appreciate folks that go beyond the norm and do it well. Rob, the catalog you speak of might have been the J.C. Penny automotive catalog. Cheers.

I believe it was the J.C.Whitney catalog. I used to get them too. JC Penney was a clothing store. The heat is getting to you George! Cheers, Mario

Mario, you nailed it brother. I was thinking J.C. Whitney but the heat did get to me and it clouded my better judgement. Thanks for saving the day because I would not want to send our buddy Rob any wrong information. Cheers.

Well it looks like all three of us are in a heat wave and combine that with our ages it's a recipe for errors in judgement, but also laughs. For the life of me I could NOT remember J.C. Whitney. I could see the magazine in my memory and even things like the glasses you could see through walls and all the adornments one could buy for the personalization of their car. You guys are the best. I toast a big glass of Ice Tea to you both!! Cheers and bottoms up!!
