Mario's Oyster Bay Car Show July 9, 2024

1960 Chevy Impala

Another great Car Show, Tuesday July 9th the 7th weekly car show in our town of Oyster Bay, NY.

The Hot Rods and Classic Cars were parked on the side of the road for the spectators to enjoy as Main Street was closed to traffic. A Rock Band was playing our favorite Oldies.

The local shops and eateries were all open selling their goods as well as some pop-up vendors in the street.

Great looking cars showed up gleaming in all their splendor.

Well well well.........looks like all the Novas must have went to visit George.

The 36 Plymouth in that Orange sure looks awesome.

I see the 2 rare entries of the Gull Wing and the 4 door Corvair. Worlds apart in cars but rare nonetheless.

I had a 67 Chevelle Malibu SS but I always liked the tail lights on the 66 model.

So, let's get back to the missing Novas I was promised that would be in these threads...

and please.........JUST THE FACTS MARIO, just the facts,

keep the engine running on that Ford POPO, looks like a trip down to the pokey for someone. That was before they started calling it the Gray Bar Hotel.

May I suggest Perry Mason to you Mario........he never lost a case.

I agree it's a Skittles Camaro! That paint job must have cost as much as the engine!

As my teachers always told me all the way through school:

Rob you can do so much better than this!! Put the car magazines down and pay attention. There was a sign under the clock in all the classrooms, TIME IS PASSING, ARE YOU?? And my picture was beside the clock.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THAT BURGUNDY NOVA.......it reminds me of the one I have never owned but hope to turn mine into something like that.

Very well done Mario....you may not be fast but you are thorough. Thank you. Rob.

Ok because my parents raised me to be polite and not greedy in any way. I will just take the 1962 Chev Biscayne coupe, the 1965 Chev Corvair 4 DHT and the 1960 Chev Impala sport coupe. See that leaves plenty of vintage tin for the rest of you fine gentlemen. Thanks for sharing Mario. Cheers.

All great choices George! I always liked the Chevy cars the best. My whole family has had numerous Chevy's of all brands and years. That 62 Biscayne is really nice and not seen often. The 65 Corvair 4 door HT is rare too and I don't remember seeing many of them. And the 60 Impala was a subdued 59 but I like both years. You can have them all my friend, Cheers!
