Mario's Tribute to Dad's 100th Birthday Today and his First New Car 1952 Ford

1952 Ford

Today August 25th 2024 would have been my Dad’s 100th Birthday as he passed away in 2009, so Happy Birthday in Heaven Dad with this Tribute to your new 1952 Ford.

I was just 5 years old in 1952 when my Dad bought his first new car, a 1952 Ford Customline Flathead V8 2 door sedan in blue with a gray interior. Dad would wash the car every week and I was given the task of polishing all the chrome.

The new 1952 Fords were very modern for their time and much improved from 1951. We lived with my grandparents at the time in Jamaica NYC while both my Mom and Dad were working and saving to buy their own home.

This Page is dedicated to my Dad and his 1952 Ford, my Dad’s first new of many new cars.

Enjoy the show, Mario

Mario, What an awesome tribute to your Dad on this special occasion. I think this is a great honor and tribute to your Dad. And sharing it with us, is also a blessing to us.

I envy you which I'm not supposed to do for my dad left before I was born. The military calls them deserters and as such they are dealt with accordingly. My dad (note small d) got off Scott free. I won't stain this thread with my history.

I feel you've covered the 52 Ford from alpha to omega, there son. That 52 in the gold pics 96 and 97 ring my chimes.

I see your family photos and wow!! I can see the good looks came naturally in your family but it doesn't explain what happened to you. Oh come on now you know I'm just kidding.

So I'm sure your Dad is saying, well done Son, well done. I always try to remember that when I was a kid, my behavior reflected on my family. I always minded my P's and Q's.....and my M O U S E's

As long as we remember them, no one is forgotten.

Make it a great day in your life to celebrate.

Rob

Thank you Rob for all the nice things you said and especially: "As long as we remember them, no one is forgotten." Truer words have never been spoken and I agree with you wholeheartedly.

My Dad was born August 25, 1924 exactly 100 years ago today and I was privileged to know my Dad from the year I was born 1947 to 2009 when he passed away of cancer. The dreaded disease that kills us slowly and without mercy.

My Dad was a car guy and loved new cars. I guess I got that from him. He always said he loved his 52 Ford and so I thought what better way to Honor him on his 100th Birthday than to dig in and get as much info as I can on the car he loved.

I'm sure my Dad is pleased with this Tribute and as you said he is saying, "Well done Son, well done."

I am happy to share this with you and all my AT Family all over the Globe. May God Bless all of you and as they say "Keep on Truckin". Cheers, Mario

Mario, you are very blessed to have so many good memeories of your folks. Not only the actual memories but also the many photos of your mom and dad and their cars. I have always liked the 52 Ford and they were a popular car new and a very popular car today as a collector car. I have seen many of them at car shows over the years. Your dad turned 100 and my dad turned 98. Both our folks sadly are no longer with us but will forever be with us in photos and memories. Cheers.

Thank you George for all your kind words. We both miss our Dads now gone but our wonderful memories of them live on forever.

They helped mold us into who we are today and I know my Dad gave me the love of cars I have today. And I am sure your Dad did the same.

To our Dads that they continue to inspire us and keep us safe. Cheers my friend, Mario

Thank you Brandon I really appreciate your kindness.

I wanted to celebrate my Dad's 100th Birthday and what better way than a Page dedicated to him and his first new car a 1952 Ford. I remember his car and always think of my Dad when I see a 52 Ford at a car show.

Just as my Dad's cars bring him and I closer, the AT Community does the same. I thank you for designing and developing the AT website and I enjoy all the pictures and banter.

Thank you Brandon, and Cheers to you, Mario
