Well I checked the specs and I see the car came from a one piece BIG BLOCK of Granite. Ok insert jovial laughter here...big block. Never mind.

It's amazing what is housed in these museums. It's nice seeing some old TV retro-vehicles. Wait, did I just invent a new word?

I must confess this, I truly don't recall many of my dreams. But this one I'll share and stay on point.

My dream was, I was in heaven, but it didn't seem like heaven. There were barns, after barns, after barns. Having worked on a farm, I thought wow, this is a nice country setting. MY grandfather, the hero in my life, came walking towards me and like the prodigal son, we ran to each other.

we walked over to one barn and Pap said, look what's in here. I expected hay, horses (another love of mine) and the normal barn stuff.

As the doors swung open, there was every make and model of car in this barn. But wait, there are all the other barns. I quickly started pushing barn doors aside.

Each barn housed cars from EVERY YEAR. You love 1957, the 1957 Barn housed all you wished for. For George, head for the 1957 Barn the Pontiac stall. I went from barn, to barn, to barn and realized this:

I WAS IN HEAVEN. And heres one of the best parts. My grandfather said, the keys are in the cars. I could drive any and all I want.

It was a dream I didn't want to wake from. I woke and couldn't believe it, but it felt so real. And I was able to capture this dream like an anchor point when it comes to what happens when I pass from this life.

I know I share too much, but this is my dream, something I hold dear in my memory. It doesn't matter if it's real or not. It's important to me.

It contained some of the best of my life, and not a tear but those of happiness and appreciation were shed.

May this be waiting for me someday, as I close my eyes and say goodbye to this world. Thanks for riding along. See you soon PAP!!!!

I guess Heaven is different for everyone depending on their likes. Our love of cars would make Heaven have to do with cars as well as seeing our dearest relatives such as your Grandpa.

I like your "Big Block of Granite" story where the Flintstone Mobile was carved from. That was amusing!

I realized there were many 60's TV shows as well as movies that featured a specific car. And we identify the TV show with that car.

Luckily the Petersen Auto Museum has saved a lot of those cars for car lovers and future generations to enjoy.
