still working on her after 15 years.. 72 350, 330 crank, rv cam, M-20, 3.08 what's left to do... first and foremost, change out rear gears.. 3.23 maybe, posi to be sure..
ok, a few things have changed since last time I posted... new engine, 400E 66/67 short stroke big block.. 42-224-4 comp cam, G heads cut .030 big S/S valves, block .030 over flat top forged pistons, gear to gear timing,headers, 3.73 12 bolt posi, M-20 converted to front disc brakes. I am sure I am leaving somethings out ;-) guess I should also add that just looking at the ole gal, still kinda looks like your fathers Oldsmobile ;-) that all disappears the minute the key hits the dash, 3" exhaust where they now exit just out in front of the rear wheel. Not much for mufflers, and the cops just love to pull me over, with out fail most just look at me and ask "little old for this?" ;-) I have just picked up a dual quad setup, can't wait to put this on, not much for performance, but sure will look good.. thanks for all the great comments, there are some great cars on this site. Believe it or not, our high school driver education car was a 1967 Oldsmobile. That thing had enough power to scare the average teenager. For me, I loved the looks and lines and ended up buying a 1969 442. Looks like you've made some very nice performance options. I'm sure the gears alone made a big difference. And looks, it's my favorite color..........THUMBS UP!!

I had a '69 F-85 with the W-31 package. Bare car - with AM radio, though. 4.33 Posi, close ratio M-21, air bags in the rear springs, 90-10 drag shock in the front. There weren't any really decent street tires in 1969 so I had traction problems until I learned to feather it off the line. It would run 13.90s all day long.
