Bill's '72 Vette Conv

I purchased my 1972 convertible brand-new in november of 1971, using it as his daily-driver with the 200-horsepower 350 until 1978. Used sparingly since then, I have replaced the original small-block with a 468 big-block that is equipped with Crane L-88 solid-lifter cam, GM Hi-Perf heads, Doug Thorley custom headers, and a Holley Pro-Jection 4 900-cfm fuel injection system. The stock TH400 transmission has been beefed up with a Trans-Go shift kit. "A complete restoration was done in the late 1980s, so the car is now used only for parades and shows." Original equipment includes air conditioning, power steering and brakes, both tops, tilt-telescopic steering wheel, leather upholstery, and the special order seat/shoulder belts. The only non-original exterior part is the L-88 hood (with the removal of the wiper door). "Even though it has only 58,000 miles, since it is over 30 years old, I'm registered it as an antique here in Texas."

Engine bay needs a little spit and polish, but runs well.

Thanks, Daniel. My daughter and her soon to be husband are going to use it to drive from the church to the wedding reception in June. I think she is panning on "inheriting" it some day, but my son doesn't think a girl should be driving a car with that much power; only a male. I've told them I plan on being buried in it, so they don't have to worry about fighting for it.

Thank you, ghpcnm. 1972 was the only year that they offered it. It is called Bryar Blue (code 945).
