My Dad bought a new one in fall of 63. It was white with a red strip down the side trimmed in chrome and red interior, It had a small V8 and 3 speed column shifter. My Dad loved it and said it was the best car he ever had. In 1969 he traded it in for a new factory muscle car, a 1969 Ford Torino Cobra Jet, It had a 429 Cobra Jet engine, a scoop and latch pins on the hood, and a new fastback design. My Dad regretted trading in his beloved 63 Fairlane and said the Torino was the worst car he ever had.
