My 1946 Studebaker pickup streetrod. Started out as a E-bay buy, a $99 1 1/2 ton dually flatbed that would have been sold for scrap if I hadn't bid. Now on a Chevy 1/2 ton frame, has 355sbc, 700r4 with shift kit and vette lock-up converter, 3:73 12 bolt limited slip rear, P.S., P.D.B. , A.C. ,Tilt wheel, Am/Fm/Cd, Dakota Digital Gauges. Bed made out of new metal, tailgate made from Douglas aircraft Dc8 Thrust Reverser Pistons, Has 4 glass fenders, Rest is all steel.Has the short running boards off the 1 1/2 ton truck, pickups had long running boards. Still has wing windows, fresh air scoop in frt. of windshield ,and vacumn wipers. Owe thanks to Randy Warrington( went 2000 miles round trip with me to get truck), Fred Kidder,(body and Paint), Rick Frutrell (interior), and wife for putting up with project. I shortened frame, installed engine, trans, and rearend, built bed, mounted cab and bed on frame, wired truck, put chevy firewall in truck, did the brakes, installed the vintage air, drilled fenders to fit.
